Michał “Miguel” Czachowski, born in 1974 in Gliwice, is the top flamenco guitarist in Poland. He grew up surrounded by this music. From the age of 12, he dedicated himself to learning the guitar, gaining experience from flamenco masters in Poland and Spain, such as Rafael Cortés, Salva del Real, and Gerardo Nuñez. In 2004 and 2005, he was named best flamenco guitarist by Gitara i Bas magazine.

He is the founder of the group Viva Flamenco! and the Indialucia project. With both ensembles, he has recorded for television and radio stations and co-created film scores. He has won numerous prizes and awards both as a soloist and as a band leader. His debut album Indialucia was awarded the Wirtualne Gęśle and Folk Phonogram of the Year awards and was nominated for the Fryderyk 2006 Polish phonographic industry award. His group Viva Flamenco! is a laureate of over a dozen music competitions, making it the finest formation of its kind in the country. Among his most important achievements is the Golden Europea statuette, which he received in 2019 for his artistic and cultural activities. The artist is a recipient of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and Art, and in 2024, he received the award of the Mayor of the City of Tychy—the title of Tychy Culture Ambassador.

Michał Czachowski’s artistic achievements are recognized worldwide, where he tours regularly. Czachowski is an active teacher of flamenco guitar and holds a doctoral degree from the Academy of Music in Kraków. He also hosts a radio show on Radio Jazz FM.
