PETR MATOUŠEK is a Czech luthier specialising in the handcrafted construction of concert classical guitars. For many years, he has combined traditional lutherie craftsmanship with modern construction techniques, particularly in his double-top models.
His workshop primarily produces two models: the Concert Master and the Concert Master Double Top. The instruments are crafted from high-quality materials such as Indian rosewood, Alpine spruce, cedar and ebony. Double-top construction allows for excellent projection, a fast response and a broad tonal palette, while maintaining a high level of playing comfort.
PETR MATOUŠEK’s guitars are played by numerous performers and teachers in various countries. Musicians associated with his instruments include Jiří Jirmal, Michael Erni, Carlos Jaramillo and Vladimír Mikulka.
