Aleksander Benedykt is a Polish luthier based in Bielsko-Biała, with many years of experience in guitar making and restoration. In his work, he combines traditional lutherie techniques with his own innovative construction methods, pursuing an individual approach to the shaping of an instrument’s tone and projection.
His workshop primarily produces concert classical guitars, using both traditional and contemporary construction techniques. These include various soundboard bracing systems, sandwich construction, and his own double-back design featuring an internal wooden lattice structure.
Aleksander Benedykt’s body of work also includes romantic guitars inspired by the construction of René Lacôte, flamenco guitars, and hybrid instruments. Each project is the result of many years of experimentation and a search for the right balance between construction, projection, tonal colour and the individual character of the instrument.
