The final concert of the XX Silesian Guitar Autumn will take place at the Mediateka in Tychy. The event will begin with the awards ceremony and the laureates’ concert of the XX Jan Edmund Jurkowski International Guitar Competition.
In the second part of the evening, we will hear Josemi Carmona with his band. The concert program Mi vida mi música offers an immersion into the artistic evolution of Josemi Carmona – from his roots in the purest flamenco to his groundbreaking role as a member of the band Ketama, where Nuevo Flamenco achieved its greatest international renown. The performance references the innovations of Enrique Morente and Lagartija Nick’s album Omega, the intensity of Camarón, and the sonic universes of Miles Davis and Ibrahim Maalouf. Fluidly moving between flamenco, rock, pop, and jazz, the project crosses new sonic boundaries, exploring the possibilities of flamenco in constant dialogue with other genres.
