The Pełech & Horna Duo is a classical guitar duo specializing in performing original arrangements of samba, tango, Latin-Spanish styles, and improvised jazz vibes. It is a rich showcase of beautiful melodies, harmony, and rhythm. The duo’s repertoire includes well-known compositions by Ralph Towner, Keith Jarrett, Pat Metheny, Chick Corea, Astor Piazzolla… Their debut album Sambalanco was nominated for the Wrocław Music Award. In the spring of 2022, the duo’s second album was released, recorded together with the outstanding pianist Leszek Możdżer.
Krzysztof Pełech is an outstanding Wrocław-based musician, thrice voted the best Polish classical guitarist by Gitara i Bas magazine. He is the artistic director of the Wrocław Guitar Masters Festival and the originator of the Summer Guitar Festival in Krzyżowa. The artist performs around 40 concerts a year and has 16 albums to his credit. Since 2005, he has led a guitar class at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, where he earned a PhD in Arts. Krzysztof Pełech has collaborated with leading Polish orchestras, as well as the Berlin Festival Orchestra. The artist has toured nearly every European country, the USA, Brazil, South Africa, as well as Egypt, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Argentina, and Chile. He is also frequently invited to collaborate with eminent musicians and guitarists, such as Leszek Możdżer, L.U.C., Jorge Morel, Jorge Cardoso, Joscho Stephan, and Tommy Emmanuel.
Robert Horna is a laureate of many national and international guitar competitions. He actively tours in Poland, Switzerland, Romania, Moldova, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and South America. He appears with recitals at many prestigious music festivals in Poland and abroad, where he is regularly invited to conduct masterclasses. Robert Horna is a versatile artist—he performs in chamber ensembles, in concerts accompanied by orchestras, and in solo recitals. The guitarist is also the author of three solo albums released by CD Accord Music Edition.
