As a soloist, chamber musician, and session player, he has performed at numerous festivals in Poland and abroad. He has collaborated with many leading orchestras, such as Concerto Avenna, AUKSO Chamber Orchestra of the City of Tychy, the National Opera Orchestra, the National Forum of Music Wrocław Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw, the Grand Theatre Orchestra in Poznań, and the Beethoven Academy Orchestra. In 2023, he participated in the staging of Astor Piazzolla’s tango-opera María de Buenos Aires at the National Theatre in Warsaw, performing the solo electric guitar part.

As a session musician, he has shared the stage with many artists, including Kasia Kowalska, Kayah, Organek, Kwiat Jabłoni, Mela Koteluk, Natalia and Paulina Przybysz, Marek Piekarczyk, Kamil Bednarek, Natalia Kukulska, Kuba Badach, Muniek Staszczyk, Renata Przemyk, Igo Walaszek, Anna Wyszkoni, Mietek Szcześniak, Jacek Bończyk, Krzysztof Cugowski, Patrycja Markowska, and Magda Umer.

He has collaborated with outstanding conductors and composers—Marek Moś, Jan Stokłosa, Paweł Lucewicz, Janusz Stokłosa, Mateusz Dębski, as well as Bartosz Chajdecki. The collaboration with the latter resulted in recording soundtracks for TV series like Chyłka, Czas Honoru, Kruk. Szepty słychać po zmroku, as well as films: Warsaw Uprising, I’m a Killer, The Fastest, Gods, and Little Rose 2.

For years, he has been linked to the Warsaw theater scene. He has participated in dozens of performances staged at the Rampa Theatre, Och-Teatr, Polonia Theatre, Studio Buffo, Ateneum Theatre, Współczesny Theatre, and Syrena Theatre.

Andrzej Olewiński is a recipient of a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and a winner of numerous prizes in national and international guitar competitions, including 1st prize at the International “Silesian Guitar Autumn” Competition in Tychy.

In 2022, Andrzej Olewiński’s solo album titled Układanki was released, featuring original compositions for classical and acoustic guitar. In 2023, the guitar duo Sir Nylon McSteel premiered their album, featuring pieces written by the band members—Andrzej Olewiński and Maciej Papalski. In 2024, Andrzej Olewiński’s second solo album titled Electra was released, making it the first release in history to feature interpretations of works by A. Piazzolla, L. Brouwer, C. Tirao, and T. Gubitsch performed on electric guitar. In 2026, another solo album by Andrzej Olewiński titled Piezas Simpáticas premiered, containing compositions for classical, acoustic, and electric guitar.

Since 2018, Andrzej Olewiński has taught a guitar class at the Fryderyk Chopin State Joint Music Schools in Warsaw. Since 2022, he has been a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. In 2025, Andrzej Olewiński obtained his PhD in Musical Arts and received the Award of the Director of the Center for Artistic Education for his special contribution to the development of artistic education in Poland.

Andrzej Olewiński has the courage to build his own aesthetic canon, in which beauty goes beyond the conventional understanding of the classical guitar.
