Registration has now closed for the 2026 Jan Edmund Jurkowski International Guitar Competition, which will take place as part of the 20th Silesian Guitar Autumn.
This year’s edition promises to be truly international – 29 guitarists from 8 countries have submitted their applications for the first stage of the Competition. The participants represent Croatia, Spain, Colombia, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, the United Kingdom and Italy.
We are delighted that the Competition continues to attract young and talented guitarists from different parts of the world. Such an international line-up provides a wonderful opportunity for artistic exchange and for bringing together different musical personalities and performance traditions.
Jury of the First Stage
The applications submitted for the first stage will be evaluated by an international Jury consisting of:
- Marcin Dylla – Chair of the Jury,
- Beata Będkowska-Huang,
- József Eötvös,
- Martin Krajčo,
- Thomas Offermann,
- Petr Saidl.
The Jury faces the challenging task of selecting the participants who will advance to the next stage of the Competition.
Who Will Advance to the Second Stage?
The names of the participants qualified for the second stage of the Competition will be announced by 18 September 2026.
