Last Sunday, 3rd July, the partner festival of the Silesian Guitar Autumn, the 21st International Biennial Guitar Competition with Mastercourses in Kutná Hora came to an end. The artistic director of our festival, Marek Nosal, sat on the competition jury.

The winner in the 2nd category of the competition in Kutná Hora was Marco Piperno from Italy. As he was invited to perform a recital during the next Silesian Guitar Autumn, he is the first on the list of artists to participate in the 19th edition of our festival, which will be held in 2024. Congratulations! This will not be Marco Piperno’s first visit to Tychy – he took part in the last two editions of the competition in 2016 and 2018.

As part of the cooperation between the festivals, the winner of this year’s Silesian Guitar Autumn will also be invited to perform a concert during the 22nd International Biennial Guitar Competition with Mastercourses in Kutná Hora in 2024.
