The Finalists of the Guitar Competition Have Been Announced

For the participants of Jan Edmund Jurkowski International Guitar Competition, the past two days have been really intense. 19 guitarists performed for the Jury, consisting of: Marcin Dylla (Chairman of the Jury), Beata Będkowska-Huang, Anabel Montesinos, József Eötvös, Piotr Matwiejczuk, Thomas Offerman and Petr Saidl.
Although only 6 of participants have qualified for the final, we would like to thank all of you and congratulate you on your extremely successful performances. We also hope that in two years we will meet you again here, in Tychy, either as the participants of our competition, its winners, its winners, or winners of partner competitions.
This year’s finalists of Jan Edmund Jurkowski International Guitar Competition, part of the Silesian Guitar Autumn are (in order chosen by lot, Starting from “P” letter of the alphabet):

– Samrat Majumder (United Kingdom / Wielka Brytania) – Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco – Koncert nr 1 D-dur op. 99
