Master classes provide a unique opportunity to work with experienced musicians who share their knowledge and skills with participants. During these sessions, attendees can improve their technique and interpretation under the guidance of a master. As part of the festival, Anabel Montesinos, the world-renowned Spanish guitarist, will conduct active lessons intended for students of the Academy of Music. However, all interested individuals may participate passively (by listening), which allows them to gain valuable insights and inspiration.
Anabel Montesinos is a ten-time winner of prestigious guitar competitions. She has performed in the most important concert halls worldwide, including Carnegie Hall in 2011.
The guitar virtuoso has collaborated with esteemed orchestras such as ADDA Simfònica from Alicante, the Berliner Philharmoniker, Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra from Venezuela, Nordic Chamber Orchestra of Sundsvall in Sweden. She has recorded two albums for the Naxos label. Her albums have received acclaim from the international press, which highlighted the beauty, freshness, and virtuosity of her interpretations. Besides her classical repertoire, which spans from the Renaissance to contemporary music, the artist has occasionally performed popular pieces, including music by The Beatles or Queen.
In 2022, she released her third solo album, Alma Llanera, dedicated to Latin American music. In 2023, Anabel embarked on a tour consisting of over 30 concerts. Currently, Anabel Montesinos teaches at a prestigious school in Barcelona. She is an ambassador of the Strömmar platform and a Savarez Artist. She plays Cantiga Alliance Premium high tension strings. Her guitar, named Jasmine, was constructed in 2018 by the renowned luthier Steve Connor.
